Bamblena
BIO Vegan Leather
Bamboo has recently been getting more attention as a raw material that could prominently supplant plastics.
Bamblena is made of a bio-based material upcycled domestic bamboo which is felled for forest conservation.

Preserving and nurturing bamboo forest
A prolific nature of bamboo, which has shallow roots, can erode the surrounding land and have a salient impact on the growth of other trees that grow in the surrounding area. Lacking the sufficient number of successors, abandoned bamboo forests has become a social problem throughout Japan.

What to do with felled bamboo
Even though excess bamboo is cut down successfully, another issue arises, that is, disposal. Bamblena was born in collaboration with a company in Tokushima Prefecture, whose expertise boasts a strong focus on the sustainability of raw materials that it procures and the process of reproduction of bamboo into Bamblena. Bamblena is not just a eco-friendly bio-vegan leather but meaningful representation of their contribution to solving the problem of abandoned bamboo forests.
