HINOKI Series
BIO Vegan Leather
HINOKI series is all made of a bio-based material upcycled with wood flour generated at domestic cypress processing plants.

Domestic forest protection
A recent decline in the demand for domestic timber has led to the debilitation of forests. Japanese cypress (Hinoki) is a high-quality building material which has been used since ancient times, for example, in Japanese shrines and temples. A more systematic approach is of a paramount importance to protect and conserve forest.

Efforts to address environmental issues
Under such circumstances, a new idea emerged where wood powder generated at processing plants of Japanese cypress is transmuted into a new bio-based materials, namely, HINOKI series. HINOKI series can be a viable resolution of both forestry issues and environmental conservation.
